Sports Solutions Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sports Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable, high‑performance technology solutions for sports venues, events, and facility‑management platforms. The role will be based in Doha and will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust architecture and seamless integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution and application architectures for sports, event, and venue management systems.
• Develop scalable, highly available architectures for BMS/Facility Management Systems, venue applications, event platforms, and mobile apps.
• Produce high‑level and detailed technical designs, architecture standards, and specifications.
• Evaluate proposed architectures against industry best practices and technology selection criteria.
• Lead solution development activities and establish SDLC processes, tools, and best practices.
• Guide development teams in applying modern software engineering and architectural practices.
• Conduct capacity and performance simulations to support peak event workloads.
• Assess solution changes and perform impact analysis with infrastructure and platform teams.
• Support integration with third‑party systems from event organizers, venue managers, and external partners.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and architectural patterns relevant to large‑scale event environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
• Proven experience designing and deploying large‑scale solutions for venues, events, or mission‑critical environments.
• Strong expertise in solution architecture methods such as component modeling, scenario‑based evaluations, and impact analysis.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, requirements analysis, and technical design processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional technical and business teams.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Developer/Architect, TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
