Static Mechanical Engineer – Asset Integrity & Turnaround Specialist

About the role

ISS International SpA seeks an experienced Static Mechanical Engineer to provide high‑level technical expertise for static equipment and piping systems. The role focuses on design validation, asset integrity, and supporting major turnarounds to ensure plant reliability and compliance with international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve design calculations, datasheets, drawings, and specifications for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks.
• Generate and review P&IDs, Piping Material Specifications (PMS), and Material Take‑Offs (MTOs) in line with ASME, ANSI, and API standards.
• Perform piping flexibility and stress analysis to verify resistance to high pressure, temperature, and vibration.
• Execute plant modifications through the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring safety and design integrity.
• Define technical scope and develop inspection/repair procedures for high‑pressure equipment during turnarounds.
• Supervise on‑site repairs, including field welding, post‑weld heat treatment (PWHT), and non‑destructive testing (NDT).
• Support Fitness‑for‑Service (FFS) evaluations, remaining‑life assessments, and root‑cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and Risk‑Based Inspection (RBI) workshops and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience with static equipment design, stress analysis, and asset integrity management.
• Familiarity with international design codes such as ASME, ANSI, and API.
• Ability to lead technical activities during plant turnarounds and outages.
