System Administrator - IT Infrastructure Services

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is seeking an experienced and versatile System Administrator for IT Infrastructure Services, based in Qatar. The role covers cloud and on-premises infrastructure, security monitoring, backups and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Azure: deploy, manage and optimise Azure services including Virtual Machines, Networking and Storage; administer Azure Active Directory with role-based access control
• Monitor security with Azure Security Center and Log Analytics, and manage backup solutions and data protection
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and Bash scripting
• On-premises and hybrid infrastructure: manage physical and virtual servers (Windows and RedHat Linux), SAN/NAS storage and hybrid Exchange/Office 365 environments
• Run vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation and system updates; configure user access and resolve technical escalations
• Collaborate with application teams on resource planning, maintain technical documentation and contribute to IT projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Azure and hybrid infrastructure administration
• Experience in security monitoring, backup management and performance reporting
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills

Required skills

• Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization, networking and storage
• Proficiency with Azure services, Office 365, PowerShell and Bash scripting
