Technical Manager - Onsite, Qatar

About the role

The Technical Manager is based onsite in Qatar and bridges the client, design, fabrication and installation teams. The role oversees the daily technical and administrative operations of a marble business, covering estimation, material selection, shop-drawing drafting, fabrication and final installation. It combines office management skills with knowledge of natural stone production, CAD drawing and project management, and requires strong communication with clients, production, installation and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the drafting and estimating team, including shop drawings, CAD designs and technical specifications for marble cutting and CNC machining
• Track project timelines from field templating to site installation and review drawings against client requirements
• Resolve technical issues between architects, designers, installers and the fabrication shop
• Oversee purchasing and inventory of stone slabs and blocks
• Optimize office workflows, supervise administrative staff and support HR onboarding
• Manage budgets, invoices, job costing and customer billing
• Handle tenders and RFQs: prepare BOQs, price breakdowns, quotations and weekly/monthly progress reports
• Approve technical documents such as test reports, structure calculations and notices, and issue cutting lists and job orders
• Coordinate with site, factory and accounting teams, and follow up with outsourced suppliers
• Develop design patterns for reusing wastage and stock, and renew showroom designs

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Qatar
