About the role

The Used Car Buyer ensures Al Futtaim maintains a strong inventory of high‑quality pre‑owned vehicles. The role blends technical appraisal, market analysis, and negotiation to meet stock targets and profitability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase pre‑owned vehicles according to Stock Target and daily availability reports, meeting KPIs for purchase volume, stock age, trade sales and gross margin.
• Appraise vehicles, estimate preparation costs, and value them using the latest valuation guide.
• Provide trade‑in valuations for new‑car executives and capture all appraisal data in IS Auto via Zest.
• Negotiate purchase terms, complete legal transfer of ownership, and supply required documents to Administration.
• Ensure purchased vehicles include all required accessories and monitor market trends to adjust buying strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
• Technical ability to appraise vehicles and estimate repair costs.
• Excellent communication, selling and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle customer grievances and work with multicultural teams.
• Qatar driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
