Vice President Contracts & Commercial

About the role

The Vice President of Contracts & Commercial leads the Commercial, Contracts and Finance teams, ensuring that major projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with organisational strategy. This senior position provides commercial strategy, risk analysis, cost control and contract lifecycle management across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee commercial and contract processes from project initiation through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Monitor performance of appointed PMCMs, cost consultants, design consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Develop and implement procurement, contract administration and cost‑control frameworks to maximise value and minimise risk.
• Allocate tasks across teams based on expertise and coordinate resources for multiple concurrent projects.
• Set up, manage and adapt cost‑control and contract‑management systems for all projects.
• Prepare, review and manage project budgets and cash‑flows in partnership with cost consultants.
• Review payment applications, invoices and project documentation to ensure contractual compliance.
• Participate in tender preparation, evaluation and recommendation, ensuring adherence to company procedures.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in contracts, commercial management and cost control within large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of procurement strategies, budgeting, cash‑flow management and risk analysis.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget and to safety standards.
