About the role
We are looking for a skilled VR Developer to create a multi‑user, immersive disaster‑preparedness training module for healthcare professional students. The project is grant‑funded and open to Qatar residents, offering full‑time or part‑time engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build interactive VR environments and branching scenarios using Unity.
- Implement reliable real‑time multi‑user networking and synchronization.
- Optimize performance for standalone VR headsets with Unity profiling tools.
- Support LBE (Location‑Based Entertainment) mode for room‑scale, multi‑user sessions.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot HTC Vive Focus 3 devices.
- Integrate telemetry to capture behavioral and performance data.
- Assist faculty and students during testing and produce technical documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, Interactive Media, HCI, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in VR/AR/XR development.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
- Unity engine development.
- C# programming.
- VR development for standalone headsets.
- Multi‑user networking and synchronization.
- HTC Vive Focus 3 hardware knowledge.
- LBE mode setup and operation.
- Telemetry integration and data collection.
- Performance optimization and Unity profiling.
- 3D asset workflow familiarity (e.g., Blender).
