Waiter / Waitress – Fine Dining

About the role

A Waiter is responsible for delivering a flawless, highly sophisticated culinary experience to guests in a high-end restaurant. Service is treated as an art form, requiring deep culinary knowledge, flawless etiquette and the ability to anticipate guest needs before they arise. The application deadline is 30 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain exhaustive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation techniques, culinary origins, potential allergens and wine or cocktail pairings.
• Execute precise service techniques: serving from the left, clearing from the right, pouring water and wine flawlessly, and synchronized table drops.
• Read the table to tailor service to each occasion, such as a celebratory anniversary or a quiet business dinner, and anticipate needs quietly.
• Guide guests through the menu, explain chef tasting menus and recommend premium pairings, aperitifs and digestifs.
• Communicate with the kitchen about dietary restrictions, pacing requests and order modifications.
• Keep every piece of silverware, crystal glassware and porcelain plate spotless and perfectly aligned.

Required profile

• Proven experience waiting tables in an upscale, fine-dining or Michelin-starred environment.
• Strong understanding of fine wines, spirits, premium ingredients (truffles, caviar, specific beef cuts) and classic culinary terminology.
• Immaculate personal presentation and adherence to strict uniform and grooming standards.
• Ability to stand and walk gracefully for long shifts while carrying heavy silver trays, balanced plates or large wine buckets.
