Youth Development Intern – Qatar (3‑month internship)

About the role
The Youth Development Intern will support UNICEF's Gulf Area Office in Doha, working on youth participation, skills development and peace‑and‑security initiatives across Qatar. The three‑month internship offers practical experience in programme implementation and coordination with government and local partners.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Youth and Adolescent Development Manager in implementing youth programmes in liaison with the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
- Support youth participation and engagement initiatives and develop pathways for youth skills and transition to employment.
- Prepare background work for the Arab Forum on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) and related national action plan discussions.
- Develop and follow‑up Terms of Reference for selected youth‑related initiatives.
- Coordinate youth‑focused partnerships, events and maintain records of programme meetings.
Required profile
- Current undergraduate, graduate or post‑graduate student from any academic background.
- Strong interest in youth development, child protection and programme coordination.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies and local partners.
