Accounts Receivable Supervisor

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the receivables function, ensuring timely invoicing, accurate posting, and effective collection of outstanding balances. This role works closely with multiple hotel departments to resolve billing issues and supports the finance team in month‑end closing and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice preparation and issuance to corporate clients, travel agents, and other debtors.
• Monitor outstanding accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and prepare aging reports for senior finance leadership.
• Review and maintain customer credit applications, conduct credit checks, and recommend credit limits in line with policy.
• Reconcile receivable balances, investigate discrepancies, and perform daily credit‑card transaction reconciliation between the Property Management System and bank statements.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Reservations, Income Audit, and other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Ensure month‑end procedures, reporting, and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Supervise and mentor the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and internal controls.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising an Accounts Receivable team in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of credit assessment, invoicing, and collection processes.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience preparing aging reports and supporting month‑end close activities.
• Familiarity with audit support and internal control compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Property Management System for credit‑card transaction reconciliation.
