AI Applications Ops Lead

About the role

Scale’s Global Public Sector team is looking for an AI Applications Ops Lead to own the production lifecycle of full‑stack AI applications for international government partners. You will ensure reliability, security, and compliance while driving continuous improvement of AI services that impact millions of citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for long‑term performance and reliability of AI use cases deployed across sovereign government agencies.
• Oversee end‑to‑end health of the platform, ensuring seamless integration between AI core, APIs, UI, and backend services.
• Build automated monitoring systems for model performance, data drift, and incident response across geographically dispersed environments.
• Navigate diverse regulatory frameworks and manage technical lifecycles within global compliance requirements.
• Lead incident command for mission‑critical production issues and implement guardrails to prevent recurrence.
• Translate technical metrics into clear insights for senior government officials.
• Partner with Engineering and ML teams to feed field lessons back into architecture and future product decisions.

Required profile

• 6+ years in a high‑impact technical role such as SRE, FDE, or MLOps.
• Experience working with public‑sector or sovereign AI deployments.
• Strong understanding of international government security standards.
• Ownership mindset and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
