Animator – Pool & Activity Supervisor

About the role

The Animator will ensure the pool and activity centre operate smoothly, delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for guests at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara. You will combine operational oversight with guest interaction, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out operational procedures, checklists and work instructions to a high standard.
• Prepare pool facilities and equipment daily, including opening and closing the centre.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and health‑and‑safety compliance throughout the shift.
• Supervise the pool area, assist swimmers in difficulty and provide lifesaving first aid when required.
• Monitor and record pool water chemical levels, reporting any deviations.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance in the plant room, including filter backwashing.
• Deliver emergency care until medical services arrive.
• Prepare activity reports and perform miscellaneous maintenance duties.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and swim if needed.
• Ability to lead group activities such as games, fitness sessions or arts and crafts.

Required skills

• Pool water chemical testing.
• Lifesaving first aid.
