Architectural Inspector – RAK, UAE

About the role

Stantec is seeking an Architectural Inspector to join its site supervision team in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role involves ensuring that construction activities align with design intent, contract documents, and local regulations, particularly for healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions before construction starts and verify compatibility with design.
• Document existing conditions, photograph potential obstructions, and report findings.
• Review delivered materials for conformance with approved samples and ensure proper storage.
• Inspect temporary and permanent works against contract documents, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Prepare daily logs, inspection records, and punch lists.
• Assist with start‑up, testing, commissioning, and handover of works.
• Support review of shop drawings and material submittals for architectural and interior design works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Approved Unlimited Architect license from Ras Al Khaimah Municipality.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Experience on healthcare/hospital projects and Middle‑East building projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency for documentation and reporting.
