Asset Management Advisor

About the role

Burjline Builders is seeking an experienced Asset Management Advisor to lead strategic asset management initiatives for a major infrastructure and utilities programme in Doha, Qatar. The role involves shaping frameworks, systems and organisational capabilities to optimise asset performance and lifecycle planning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on infrastructure asset management and lifecycle management.
• Support the establishment and enhancement of an effective Asset Management function.
• Develop asset management strategies, policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Implement and improve asset management systems aligned with international best practice.
• Advise on lifecycle planning, asset performance, risk, reliability and optimisation.
• Develop KPIs and performance‑monitoring frameworks for assets.
• Support organisational change and capability development.
• Collaborate with senior client stakeholders, operations teams and multidisciplinary engineering groups.
• Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure operations and maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• Approximately 30 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Significant experience in infrastructure/utilities asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000 and international asset management principles.
• Experience establishing or transforming asset management functions within large organisations.
• Public‑sector, municipal or major utility experience highly desirable.
• Middle‑East experience advantageous.
• IAM qualification/membership and/or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, advisory and change‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 55000 and international asset management principles.
