Asset Management Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Asset Management Advisor to provide strategic leadership for a major infrastructure and utilities programme in Doha, Qatar. You will guide the development, implementation and continuous improvement of asset management frameworks, systems and organisational capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on infrastructure asset management and lifecycle planning.
• Support the establishment and enhancement of an effective Asset Management function.
• Develop asset management strategies, policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Implement and improve asset management systems aligned with international best practice.
• Advise on asset performance, risk, reliability and optimisation.
• Define KPIs and performance‑monitoring frameworks for assets.
• Lead organisational change and capability development initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior client stakeholders, operations teams and multidisciplinary engineering groups.
• Promote continuous improvement of infrastructure operations and maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Approximately 30 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure/utilities asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000 and international asset management principles.
• Proven track record establishing or transforming asset management functions in large organisations.
• Public‑sector, municipal or major utility experience highly desirable.
• Middle East experience advantageous.
• IAM qualification/membership and/or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, advisory and change‑management capabilities.
