Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to support daily accounting operations, inventory control, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and compliance with financial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records, cost allocation, and production‑related expense tracking.
• Handle customer accounts, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Perform general accounting tasks such as journal entries, ledger management, and month‑end closing.
• Conduct account reconciliations and consolidate financial data.
• Prepare financial reports in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Coordinate with other departments to keep financial records up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading or manufacturing companies.
• Experience working in Qatar or the GCC region is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting.
• Proficiency in accounts receivable and accounts payable management.
• Experience in financial reporting and compliance.
