Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance will act as the strategic financial leader for The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa. Reporting to senior management, this role drives financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support the hotel’s brand strategy and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the accounting team in daily operations and month‑end close.
• Oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes to ensure compliance.
• Prepare accurate profit & loss statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations and timely financial reports.
• Manage tax calculations, ensuring correct sales/use tax rates and accruals.
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs, providing insights to guide business decisions.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with the hotel’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (4‑year program).
• No prior work experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to lead, motivate and evaluate team performance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools.
