Assistant Reservations Manager

About the role

The Assistant Reservations Manager supports the Reservations team at a leading hotel in Doha, ensuring accurate room blocks, reservations, and group market codes. This role combines guest service, operational oversight, and team leadership to maximize revenue and uphold brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail, verifying availability, rates, and guarantee policies.
• Maintain accuracy of room blocks, group market codes, and special requests in the reservation system.
• Communicate hotel facilities, services, and policies to guests, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
• Apply sales techniques to optimize revenue and set up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies.
• Train, schedule, coach, and motivate reservation staff, serving as a role model for fair treatment and open‑door policies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, confidentiality standards, and quality assurance expectations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in hotel reservations or related field.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
