Associate – Clearing and Posting (Qatari Eligibility)

About the role

The Associate, Clearing and Posting will ensure efficient, accurate and controlled processing of all inward and outward clearing cheques, post‑dated cheques, bill discount cheques and onus cheques for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Process inward clearing cheques in Technical Clearing and approve or reject them.
• Handle outward clearing cheques, including post‑dated and bill discount cheques.
• Reconcile physical inward clearing cheques against PS‑ECC reports and suspense accounts daily.
• Process new post‑dated cheque bookings, cancellations and apply updated charges per the tariff schedule in CB Net.
• Process ministry and private sector salaries, pay‑card salaries via file upload, PRIME postings, normal non‑WPS salaries and WPS payrolls.
• Prepare and dispatch cash letters, cheque collections and salary list payments to correspondent banks.
• Arrange Swift messages to concerned banks and follow up on funds received via NOSTRO accounts.
• Verify payment message details before transmission and ensure all entries are recorded in the relevant systems.
• Liaise with front‑end business teams to improve customer experience and maintain SOP compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or banking.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cheque processing.
• At least 1 year of experience as a processor within Operations.
