Banquet Manager

About the role

The Banquet Manager leads a dedicated team to deliver high‑quality banquet services for events at The Pearl Island, Doha. This full‑time position combines hands‑on service with strategic oversight of financial, operational, and customer‑experience aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and motivate banquet staff, ensuring service standards meet guest expectations.
• Control financial and administrative duties, including asset protection, liquor cost management, and inventory of china, glass, silver, and other supplies.
• Plan and schedule banquet service staff to optimize profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and oversee food‑and‑wine pairings, buffet presentations, and event‑specific props.
• Conduct monthly team meetings, set goals, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations related to events.
• Participate in training initiatives and develop corrective action plans as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in event management, food & beverage, or a related hospitality role.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage banquet operations.
• Strong communication skills and customer‑focused mindset.
