Branch Accountant

About the role

The Branch Accountant supports the branch’s financial operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective receivables follow‑up, strong cash controls, and timely reporting. The role works closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to maintain compliance and smooth day‑to‑day coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage invoicing for units, validate sales order conditions, discounts, subsidies, and issue gate passes.
• Follow up on accounts receivable, review recovery accounts, and assist in calculating provisions.
• Create SMC contracts with billing plans and provide data for general ledger updates.
• Maintain petty cash records, process claims, and monitor outstanding IOUs.
• Monitor general ledger activity, support month‑end reporting, balance‑sheet substantiation, and prepare financial packs.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and audit requirements, escalating issues when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Relevant accounting experience in a branch, retail, automotive, or service‑oriented environment.
• Confidence handling financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting tasks.
• Proactive approach, sound judgment, and commitment to accuracy.
