Business Analyst – Consultant (Core Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst – Consultant with deep expertise in the Finastra EQUATION core banking platform. The role involves supporting implementation, maintenance and enhancement projects while ensuring data protection and confidentiality across the bank’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) and develop detailed Function Specifications for development and testing.
• Analyse and map business processes, identify gaps and propose improvements.
• Manage defect life‑cycle, track execution status and produce regular reports.
• Conduct test scope analysis, regression testing and support system integration with core banking modules.
• Provide technical assistance for loan administration and other banking systems.
• Collaborate with systems analysts, programmers and vendors to design and develop solutions.
• Document changes to specifications, create user manuals, procedures and training materials.
• Prepare business cycle specifications and oversee calculation and posting controls.
• Participate in performance review meetings and respond to application queries from internal and external customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration or a related technical field.
• Minimum five years of continuous experience with Finastra EQUATION core banking system, including implementation and support.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adhere to banking ethics and code of conduct.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
