Butchery Commis I (Entry Level)

About the role

As a Commis I in the butchery department at Rosewood Doha, you will support the kitchen team by preparing vegetables, meats, and seafood, ensuring high standards of hygiene, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional service to guests and handle inquiries efficiently.
• Maintain company brand standards and work collaboratively with other associates.
• Wash, peel, cut, and seed vegetables and fruits.
• Clean, cut, and grind meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Bread food items by dipping them in crumbs, flour, or batter.
• Assist in quality control and weigh/measure designated ingredients.
• Set up buffet and food presentations.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Support chefs in various kitchen sections as required.
• Ensure sanitation standards are met and store foods in designated areas.
• Maintain kitchen equipment in good condition and report any breakage.
• Implement effective stock rotation, labelling, and report any food wastage or spoilage.
