Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for end‑to‑end acquisition of program commodities and services, supporting the USCENTAF GPMS Program. The role ensures compliance with company policies, prime contract requirements, FAR/DFAR and ISO standards while maintaining ethical procurement practices.

Key responsibilities

• Review and action purchase requests, ensuring proper approvals, charge codes and competition.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, IFBs and RFPs, evaluate vendor offers, conduct negotiations and award contracts within delegated authority.
• Administer contracts, write modifications, verify vendor performance, process payments and closeout files.
• Maintain accurate purchase order and BPA records, conduct market surveys and source new vendors to maximize competition.
• Provide training on BPA and SMA usage, compile reports and support TDY assignments as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, organizational skills and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Valid home‑country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Familiarity with US Government procurement procedures, FAR and DFAR.
