CCTV Draftsman for MOI Projects (Qatar)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CCTV Draftsman to support Qatar Ministry of Interior (MOI) security surveillance projects. The role involves preparing accurate layouts, shop drawings and as‑built documentation in line with MOI specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CCTV layouts, shop drawings, schematic and riser diagrams, and cable routing plans.
• Produce authority submission drawings and incorporate MOI, consultant and client comments.
• Ensure correct camera positioning, coverage, field of view and identification of surveillance areas.
• Coordinate CCTV drawings with architectural, electrical, MEP and ICT drawings to avoid clashes.
• Conduct site visits and measurements to verify conditions and produce as‑built drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs and technical documentation.
• Support engineers and project teams during testing, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Drafting or related field.
• 4–5 years of CCTV/ELV drafting experience, preferably in Qatar with MOI projects.
• Strong knowledge of MOI procedures, drawing submissions and approval processes.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience with Revit/BIM (advantage).
• Understanding of IP CCTV architecture, cameras, NVRs, storage, network switches and structured cabling.
• Ability to create schematics, riser diagrams and coordination drawings.
