Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) – Mining

About the role

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the commercial strategy for our mining business, driving sustainable revenue growth, market expansion and optimisation of the mineral sales portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Committee and Board, the CCO acts as the primary commercial advisor for mining investments and market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy for the mining portfolio.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability across all mining commodities.
• Identify new markets, customers and commercial opportunities globally.
• Lead negotiations for offtake agreements, supply contracts and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee pricing, sales and contract strategies aligned with market conditions.
• Manage commercial risk, commodity price exposure and compliance with trade regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, logistics and technical services to maximise commercial value of assets.
• Present commercial performance updates to Executive Management and the Board.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and executing commercial strategies in the mining or commodities sector.
• Track record of driving revenue growth, market diversification and successful offtake negotiations.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership, finance, operations and logistics teams.
• Experience assessing commercial risk and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with investors, government entities and industry partners.
