Commissioning Manager – Mechanical (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Commissioning Manager – Mechanical will lead the commissioning of all mechanical systems, equipment and infrastructure for offshore oil & gas projects in Doha, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage commissioning strategies, plans and schedules aligned with project milestones.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate the commissioning team, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction to transition from construction to commissioning.
• Supervise testing, validation and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet specifications.
• Control commissioning budgets, resources and quality, and report progress to senior management and clients.
• Oversee training, documentation and formal handover of fully operational systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in commissioning within EPC, offshore platforms, wellhead or jacket projects.
• Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and budgets.
