Construction Manager (Government Projects)

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead on‑site administrative and technical management for multi‑million‑dollar, government‑funded construction projects supporting the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) at Al Udeid Air Base, Doha, Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Read, interpret and verify all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams).
• Participate in design reviews and ensure construction complies with approved documents.
• Conduct daily site inspections, document findings on AF Form 1477 and maintain project records.
• Review shop drawings and product submittals, providing recommendations to the Site Manager.
• Support safety and quality initiatives in line with Amentum’s standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction management and inspection experience, or an associate degree in Construction Management with at least 5 years field experience and 2 years public/government experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. Government clearance.
• Willingness to work long hours in remote, potentially hazardous conditions.
• Strong problem‑solving judgment and ability to work within a diverse, dynamic team.
