Contracts Division Manager

About the role

Airswift, an international workforce solutions provider for the energy, process and infrastructure sectors, is looking for a Contracts Division Manager to support a major oil & gas client in Qatar. The role will lead contract strategy for large on‑shore capital projects, ensuring commercial integrity and alignment with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all project contracting activities, including ITT issuance, EPC contract execution and service work order administration.
• Oversee preparation of ITT packages and manage the full tendering process to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Establish contract strategies and govern EPC contract development, defining scope, risk allocation and alignment with objectives.
• Evaluate contractor technical and commercial submissions and advise on contractual acceptability.
• Administer end‑to‑end contract processes: change management, payments, claims, securities, amendments and close‑out.
• Lead negotiations on contractor‑initiated changes to protect cost and schedule.
• Manage complex contractual disputes and prepare formal commercial correspondence.
• Maintain oversight of contractual frameworks to safeguard commercial interests and mitigate risk.
• Develop contracts team capability through mentoring and continuous improvement.
• Drive a high‑performance contracts organization focused on safety, quality, cost and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience across project management, engineering, construction or procurement in large‑scale industrial or energy projects.
• At least 3 years in a project‑management leadership role on major capital projects.
• Proven experience in contract strategy, ITT preparation, EPC contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of risk allocation, scope definition and contract governance in complex projects.
