Crane Operator – Qatar

About the role

Aertssen Machinery Services is seeking an experienced crane operator to join its Qatar operations. The role involves performing lifting operations on construction and industrial sites using a variety of heavy cranes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform various lifting operations using assembly cranes to move machinery, equipment, and large objects.
• Inspect cranes daily and report any malfunctioning parts.
• Ensure safe and correct execution of all lifting work.
• Collaborate and maintain constant communication with the site manager, foreman, rigger, and other parties.
• Position and place loads accurately at construction sites and industrial facilities.

Required profile

• Valid Qatar driving license (expired or current).
• Proficient in English (reading and writing).
• Minimum five years of crane operating experience in GCC countries, with relevant certificates.
• Experience operating crawler and mobile cranes.
• Preferable experience on all‑terrain cranes (100‑250 tons) and crawler cranes (100‑600 tons).

Required skills

• Operation of all‑terrain cranes (100‑250 tons) from manufacturers such as Liebherr, Grove, Demag or Tadano.
• Operation of crawler cranes (100‑600 tons) from manufacturers such as Hitachi Sumitomo, Terex, Demag or Tadano.
• Use of lifting gear and equipment for heavy‑load handling.
