Data Architect

About the role

The Data Architect will design and implement cloud‑based big data analytics solutions that are dynamic, scalable, fault‑tolerant, secure and reliable. You will create and maintain an enterprise self‑service cloud data platform, build reference architectures and technical blueprints, and translate business requirements into effective data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align a technical blueprint for cloud data analytics with the organization’s technology roadmap.
• Design and develop a robust, scalable self‑serve data platform for data product engineers, analysts and business users.
• Create and maintain reference and solution architecture blueprints, ensuring data security, compliance and governance.
• Select and implement technologies for data ingestion, orchestration, storage and transformation.
• Develop enterprise‑level big data models and maintain scalable big data architectures for the data warehouse.
• Assess existing data architectures, provide strategic recommendations, and lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years as a Data Architect.
• Proven experience building large‑scale enterprise data architectures and big data models.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and architecture.
• Ability to produce client‑ready solution architecture and lead workshops.

Required skills

• Big Data, Data Warehouse and Data Analytics technologies.
• Cloud platforms and services (BI Architecture/Data Engineer perspective).
• Data modelling techniques (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, dimensional, star and snowflake schemas).
• ETL processes, data lakes, data hubs and data ingestion pipelines.
• Programming languages: Python, SQL.
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Automation and monitoring tools for production cloud data solutions.
