Data Privacy Officer

About the role

The Data Privacy Officer will lead the implementation and ongoing management of Doha Bank's Data Privacy Program. Working closely with internal stakeholders, the incumbent ensures compliance with local regulations and the bank's own privacy policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational privacy activities in line with Doha Bank policies and local regulations.
• Support the design, development, and rollout of the bank’s Data Privacy framework and program.
• Prepare, review, and update Data Privacy policies, procedures, and notices annually.
• Assist Privacy Champions and IT Application Managers in maintaining Records of Processing Activities and Data Flow Diagrams.
• Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments for business processes and IT applications handling personal data.
• Coordinate with business units and IT owners to ensure all processes and applications comply with internal privacy standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in the financial services or banking sector, with a focus on data privacy, data protection, or data compliance.
• Proven experience conducting privacy impact assessments and managing privacy documentation in a regulated environment.
