Electrical Engineer – Smart Water Metering

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of smart water metering systems. The role involves ensuring reliable data communication across AMI/AMR infrastructure and collaborating with project teams, contractors and utility stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of smart water metering systems.
• Monitor AMI/AMR infrastructure to guarantee reliable data communication.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors and utility stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot meter, network and communication platform issues.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and project updates.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in water infrastructure, AMI/AMR projects, smart utility metering or water meter installation.
• Experience with smart water meter systems and communication technologies.
• GCC utility project experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Head‑End Systems (HES).
• Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS).
• IoT communication platforms.
• Understanding of water distribution systems.
• Meter calibration and commissioning.
• Communication protocols and network troubleshooting.
