Engineer I – Maintenance (Full Time)

About the role

The Engineer I provides on‑site technical support for guest rooms and hotel facilities at The St. Regis Residence in Doha. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen, mechanical room equipment and tools, including cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves and utility shut‑offs for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, requisition parts as needed and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Execute basic repairs on air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical components, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work and follow all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working at heights.
