Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

This entry‑level management position supports daily operations in Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry. The role directs staff to clean and maintain guest rooms and public areas, ensures guest and employee satisfaction, and helps control the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping operations, budgets and daily shift activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and loss‑prevention policies.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and inventory of supplies and linen.
• Assign room‑cleaning tasks based on real‑time room status and upcoming check‑outs.
• Coordinate with Engineering for guest‑room maintenance needs.
• Conduct inspections of guestrooms and public spaces and enforce corrective actions.
• Handle guest complaints, review comment cards and promote excellent service.
• Support HR functions: training, performance appraisal, payroll administration and scheduling via the Labor Management System.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years housekeeping experience.
• Or a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field (no experience required).
