Engineering Manager – Major Building Project

About the role

The Leading Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead all engineering and technical functions for a large‑scale building construction project in Qatar. You will be responsible for delivering coordinated engineering outputs from project start to handover, ensuring compliance with schedule, specifications and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary engineering team (architects, structural, MEP, BIM, document control).
• Develop and execute the engineering execution plan aligned with the project programme.
• Manage preparation, review, submission, approval and distribution of all engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate BIM models, clash detection and model reviews before construction.
• Facilitate engineering coordination meetings with consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Resolve technical and constructability issues and support commercial and contractual matters.
• Ensure timely issuance of approved drawings and documents to the construction site.
• Monitor engineering KPIs, submission logs and productivity metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• 15–20 years of experience in building construction, with at least 10 years in engineering management for major contractors.
• Proven track record managing multidisciplinary engineering teams on large building projects.
• Strong knowledge of contractor engineering processes, technical submissions and consultant approvals.
