Engineering Technician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of property vehicles and maintenance tools at a Marriott hotel in Doha. The role involves routine inspections, preventative upkeep, inventory control and accurate record‑keeping while adhering to safety and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and service property vehicles such as engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts – checking oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charge and spark plugs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication and routine checks.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts and supplies, requisitioning items as needed to avoid downtime.
• Record daily operation, maintenance and safety activities in logs, documenting test results, instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all safety, security and environmental procedures, report hazards or incidents, and store flammable materials properly.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties, ensure professional appearance, and support team communication.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of related vehicle or equipment maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required; no specific license or certification needed.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance (oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, spark plug replacement).
• Tool preventative maintenance (cleaning, lubrication).
• Inventory management and parts requisition.
• Accurate logbook and record‑keeping of maintenance activities.
