Engineering Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Technician will ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. You will work closely with the engineering team to maintain tools, respond to emergencies, and support energy‑conservation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Monitor and respond to fire alarm/life‑safety and emergency power systems, acting quickly during alarms.
• Perform preventive maintenance, log daily activities, and take meter readings for electricity, water and LPG.
• Maintain and organize tools, ensuring they are returned to the shop and stored securely.
• Assist other departments by addressing maintenance requests and supporting cross‑training of new hires.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar hotel engineering or maintenance role.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with all hotel departments.
• Strong attention to detail, safety‑focused mindset, and willingness to be on call for emergencies.
