Estimation Engineer – ELV Systems

About the role

We are seeking an Estimation Engineer specialized in ELV and security systems to join our Doha office. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for a variety of low‑voltage installations, supporting the sales and project teams throughout the tender process.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings and tender documents to define scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for ELV and security systems.
• Source, compare and evaluate vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and sales teams to finalize bid packages.
• Prepare technical submissions, compliance statements and equipment lists.
• Support project handover by delivering clear documentation to implementation teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, standards and market pricing.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in ELV and security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, public address, structured cabling, networking).
• Proven experience in estimation, quantity take‑offs and BOQ preparation for ELV or MEP projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and estimating/ERP systems; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Familiarity with local codes and international standards for ELV and security systems in Qatar/GCC is preferred.
