Estimator – Construction Tender & Cost Specialist

About the role

The Estimator is responsible for producing realistic, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for construction fit‑out projects. Using a proprietary estimation system, you will respond to client enquiries, prepare tender submissions, and support the commercial team throughout the bidding process.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review contract enquiries, develop pricing plans and meet submission deadlines.
• Clarify scope with clients to ensure quote accuracy and align with expectations.
• Coordinate with the line manager and team to define overall tender strategy.
• Issue enquiries to the supply chain, select suitable suppliers, and negotiate best prices.
• Analyze supplier quotes, consider raw‑material and manufacturing costs across economies, and review terms and conditions.
• Prepare tender analysis, cost breakdowns, and professional presentations for internal review and client meetings.
• Monitor tender progress, attend client meetings, and identify risks or opportunities in specifications, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Participate in hand‑over meetings with operational and commercial teams to ensure smooth project transition.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the fit‑out industry, preferably with Qatar exposure.
• B.Tech, B.E. or relevant diploma.
• Strong knowledge of the full tender process and value‑engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and communicate in business‑level English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
