Expert Associate Partner – Capital Projects Acceleration

About the role

Bain & Company is seeking an Expert Associate Partner to strengthen its Capital Projects Acceleration practice. The role focuses on helping clients across mining, oil & gas, utilities, renewables, aerospace, and metals to deliver large‑scale capital projects safely, on time, on budget, and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside case (engagement) teams to deliver client‑serving projects.
• Partner with client organizations, engage prospective clients and help build commercial plans to increase competitiveness.
• Benchmark client processes, costs, organization, and technology adoption against peers.
• Interview and facilitate workshops with client employees, management teams and other stakeholders.
• Support clients in conducting pilots or proof‑of‑concepts for selected solutions.
• Drive clients toward actionable outcomes and nurture long‑term relationships.
• Leverage Performance Improvement practice expertise to enhance client capabilities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in performance improvement, consulting, or delivery of capital projects.
• Deep understanding of strategic, programmatic, and portfolio‑level project challenges.
• Ability to work across multiple industries and functions.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Proven track record of delivering results in complex, high‑stakes environments.
