Facilities Manager

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a Facilities Manager for Etqan Global Academy in Doha. The role involves overseeing the daily operation, maintenance and safety of the school’s buildings, grounds and infrastructure to support a high‑quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the school estate, ensuring facilities are safe, functional and fit for purpose.
• Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance programmes and supervise reactive maintenance activities.
• Organise statutory inspections, testing, certification and support internal and external audits.
• Oversee contractors and service providers, guaranteeing work is completed safely and to high standards.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering refurbishment and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain asset registers, equipment records and maintenance histories for effective lifecycle management.
• Support facilities budgeting, procurement and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Provide facilities support for school events, examinations and emergency situations.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or a related field.
• Proven experience managing facilities operations in a complex environment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance programmes and managing contractors.
• Strong understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance and facilities management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.

Required skills

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) – desirable.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification – desirable.
• Project Management qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 – desirable.
