F&B Host/Hostess – Luxury Hotel Restaurant

About the role

As a Host/Hostess you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a courteous and warm welcome at the restaurant entrance. You will also support efficient service and help maximize revenue through effective booking management.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and acknowledge all guests upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage the reception area, confirm reservations, seating preferences and special occasions.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus and maintain an accurate overview of table availability.
• Handle the waiting list, communicate estimated waiting times and coordinate seating with the restaurant team.
• Answer telephone calls, restaurant enquiries and reservation requests, ensuring accurate information is recorded.
• Recognize returning guests, VIPs and IHG One Rewards members and communicate preferences to the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and support the restaurant team during busy periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Hostess, Guest Relations Agent, Receptionist or similar guest‑facing hospitality role.
• Experience in a luxury or five‑star hotel or restaurant environment is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, confident personality.
• Professional appearance, strong customer‑service mindset and ability to stay calm during high‑volume periods.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
