Field Operations Lead

About the role

The Field Operations Lead will drive the integration of HSEQ principles across project activities and support the successful delivery of offshore installations and startups in Qatar and China. This role works closely with project, commissioning, and site teams to ensure operational excellence from design through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and prioritize HSEQ principles throughout all project phases.
• Develop and update operating philosophies, manuals, and procedures.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, and operability/maintainability studies.
• Collaborate with project and commissioning teams to prepare for offshore installation and startup.
• Identify operational risks and production impacts, proposing mitigation measures.
• Engage in 3D model reviews and technical workshops.
• Represent Field Operations during Factory Acceptance Tests for critical equipment.
• Support the creation of operational training for new facilities.
• Assist site teams during installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Capture lessons learned and provide operational feedback post‑project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in production operations and project environments, preferably offshore.
• Strong knowledge of production, process, and flow‑assurance engineering.
• Proven experience with HAZOP, HAZID, and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work in multicultural, complex project settings.
• Willingness to travel to contractor sites and support offshore activities.
• Fluent English.
