Financial Director

About the role

Gate Gourmet Doha Services (GGDS) is seeking an experienced Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership for its high‑growth aviation catering business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team and shape the company’s financial strategy, governance and long‑term value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to drive sustainable growth and value creation.
• Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Strengthen financial governance, compliance, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Manage enterprise‑level financial risk, provide decision support and deliver scenario modelling.
• Support business development with clear financial insights and commercial assessments of growth opportunities.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including systems, processes and capability upgrades.
• Oversee relationships with external stakeholders, JV partners, auditors, regulators and financial institutions.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing finance leadership team.
• Support M&A activities, including due diligence and post‑merger integration.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial leaders to align financial and business strategy.

Required profile

• Senior finance leadership experience in large, complex, operationally intensive organisations.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor at executive level.
• Experience as a Finance Director or equivalent in aviation, manufacturing, logistics or similarly complex industries.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with disciplined financial control and governance.
• Track record in financial governance, risk management and transformation.
• ACCA or ACA qualification (or international equivalent); CPA/CFA/CMA highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
