Fire Alarm & Firefighting Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm & Firefighting Systems Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will lead the design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of fire protection systems while ensuring full compliance with QCDD and NFPA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review, install, test, commission and maintain fire alarm and firefighting systems.
• Ensure all solutions meet QCDD regulations, NFPA standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams during execution.
• Prepare technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements and inspection reports.
• Conduct site inspections, troubleshooting, testing and system diagnostics.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings to obtain approvals.
• Monitor project progress, budget and quality to ensure timely delivery.
• Support procurement and material selection for fire protection equipment.
• Maintain safety procedures and related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid QCDD certification (mandatory).
• 4–7 years of experience with fire alarm and firefighting systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, QCDD and international fire safety standards.
• Proven experience in testing and commissioning fire protection systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Valid Qatar driving licence preferred.
