Foreman – Maintenance Team Lead

About the role

The Foreman is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities within the facility. He/she leads a team of technicians, ensures proper hand‑over at shift changes, and reports equipment faults to engineers and STOs.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and support technicians to complete assigned maintenance tasks safely and on schedule.
• Perform and verify planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective work, ensuring timely completion.
• Assist subcontractors, monitor work quality, and report defects or breakdowns to the Fault Reporting Centre.
• Maintain accurate spare‑parts records, follow duty rosters, and ensure all required permits are in place.
• Produce and update MS, RA, and COSHH documentation, and ensure staff use appropriate PPE and tools.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a similar facility.
• Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory standards such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA and BS.
• Proven ability to train and develop a maintenance team, resolve disputes and prioritize work.
