Head of Primary – International School (Doha, Qatar)

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an inspirational Head of Primary to lead Etqan Global Academy’s newly established IB Primary Years Programme in Doha. The successful candidate will champion transdisciplinary, inquiry‑based learning and ensure every student thrives within the PYP framework.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership aligned with the IB PYP philosophy and the school’s strategic plan.
• Oversee high‑quality implementation and continuous development of the Primary Years Programme.
• Lead, coach, appraise and deliver CPD for a talented primary teaching team.
• Drive school improvement through data analysis, monitoring, evaluation and collaborative planning.
• Build a safe, nurturing community where students feel valued and challenged.
• Partner with the PYP Coordinator to strengthen programme delivery and prepare for IB accreditation.

Required profile

• Recognised primary teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent) and relevant degree.
• Significant senior leadership experience within an IB PYP school.
• Proven track record of raising student outcomes and leading school improvement.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• International school experience, preferably in the Middle East (desirable).
