History Teacher

About the role

The History Teacher will deliver SABIS curriculum to students, fostering academic success and personal growth. The role involves using provided lesson plans, assessing student performance, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach history classes using SABIS lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to maintain an effective classroom atmosphere.
• Proctor exams and ensure a well‑managed testing environment.
• Support low‑performing students through guidance and motivation.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules.
• Perform substitute teaching, supervise lunch and bus arrangements, and handle other administrative duties as assigned.
• Participate in student life activities such as art events, open houses, and physical education in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
• Strong communication skills and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Commitment to continuous learning and accountability.
