Humanities Instructor – General Studies

About the role

The Humanities Instructor will join the General Studies department of Qatar Technical Institute, delivering the first‑year diploma curriculum to military students. The role focuses on teaching Qatar History, Human Rights and Islamic Culture while supporting student success and departmental quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction in Qatar History, Human Rights and Islamic Culture to military students in the General Studies programme.
• Develop, review and enhance curriculum materials and teaching resources in line with MoEHE standards.
• Assess student learning through formative and summative methods, providing timely feedback and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with senior instructors, military stakeholders and colleagues to support continuous improvement and departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status or equivalent education qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., MA, BA, Diploma) in a Humanities subject.
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects such as Qatar History, Human Rights, Islamic Culture or Social Studies to international or military students.
• Strong classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
• Ability to use a range of teaching and administrative technologies and to adapt to changing priorities.
